“So You Think You Can Dance” Finalist Ellenore Scott and Dance Critic Elizabeth Zimmer Host International Dance Day Celebration

| WHAT: | Dance Parade New York will team with Stepping Out Dance Studios to host its annual "FUNdraiser" in celebration of United Nations International Dance Day. Honorary hosts include Ellenore Scott, "So You Think You Can Dance" finalist and dance critic Elizabeth Zimmer. Attendees will enjoy drinks, hors d’oeuvres and performances from a sampling of companies participating in Dance Parade New York: Lea McGowan with Shane Ohmer; Ayazamana; Belly Rhythm; Dance Manhattan; NYC Flaggers; `Avei`a; Vanya’s Kuchipudi Dance Ensemble; Nzassa Dance Company; and Stepping Out’s Simone Assboeck & Meredith Stead Silent Auction will feature event tickets, dance lessons, artwork, turntables, Dance Parade New York merchandise and more |
| WHY: | In 1982 the United Nations set out to promote and raise awareness of dance by marking April 29th International Dance Day. This occasion unites millions of dancers around the world and Dance Parade New York joins the celebration by promoting thousands of dancers and dance spectrums in a yearly parade down Broadway. |
