Dance Parade New York is bolstering it's 2008 team by adding a few passionate individuals to it's leadership team throughout the year. We seek the following core team staff members:
Outreach Director, Volunteer Coordinator, Development Director, Project Manager
Come May 17th 2008, we are looking for a few volunteers to participate in making Dance history! Volunteers are needed ALL DAY Saturday, May 17th - shifts available from 9am-8pm
Float Check-in: Signs in groups that have floats and directs them to their proper location; Must be quick, assertive, and detail-oriented
Dancer Check-In: signs in dancers and directs them to their groups; gives out participation bracelets, answers questions; Must be quick, assertive, and detail-oriented
Spacers: Maintains ample space between floats and dance groups
Festival Set-up: Set up dancing areas in Washington Square Park, set up tents and sponsor areas, set up tables
Dance Police: Fun! Give out citations for people caught NOT dancing! Must be assertive and playful
Festival Breakdown/Cleanup: Returns materials to owners; restores park to original conditions
Afterparty Door: Maintains comp list; maintains order at the door
