Robin Schatell has over 25 years of experience developing, directing, envisioning, producing, and implementing innovative arts programming and community engagement initiatives.  She is passionate about connecting people through creative, thought provoking, and entertaining cultural experiences to issues affecting their everyday lives. Whether leading organizations through artistic growth and development, curating compelling public programs, or nurturing partnerships and collaborations, Robin’s commitment to community engagement, arts & ideas, and fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and inclusion remains at the core of her work.

Robin’s has led the visioning and implementation of innovative and distinctive programs for the Van Alen Institute, Madison Square Park Conservancy, and New York City’s Municipal Archives. As Director of Public Programs for Riverside Park, she launched its Summer on the Hudson festival. Robin served as Executive Director of the River To River Festival, for its celebratory tenth anniversary season, Managing Director of Performance Space 122 during an explosive three-year period of artistic growth of the Ralph Lemon Company through his inspiring tenth anniversary season at The Joyce Theater. Robin is a member of the New York Music Producers and Festivals Coalition and has served as a panelist for the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs. An active and impassioned New Yorker, Robin sits on Manhattan’s Community Board 3, her co-op’s House Committee, and volunteers on a variety of other community projects.
